Why the photograph misleads
Every doodle puppy looks much the same at eight weeks. A Poochon puppy and a Sheepadoodle puppy in two photographs beside each other are hard to tell apart, and the adults are separated by twenty-five kilograms or more.
Nobody is being deceptive by photographing a puppy. It just means the photograph carries none of the information that should decide the purchase.
What the size means day to day

- A lift, a lobby and a corridor shared with people who did not choose your dog.
- Grooming priced by the size of the coat, for the whole of a long life.

The heat: the honest warning

We are not going to tell you a cross is healthier than its parent breeds. It is the standard line on doodle pages and no one can promise it about an individual puppy.
Bloat, and why a deep chest matters
Bloat is a twisting of the stomach that is a genuine emergency, and deep-chested dogs are the ones it happens to. It is worth knowing about before you own one rather than reading about it at the time.
A distended abdomen, unproductive retching and obvious distress are the signs. It is a vet visit immediately rather than in the morning, and your vet is the right person to ask about feeding practices for a dog of this build.
